Cedar Montessori was established in 2009 and opened with four children, Leon, Grace, Ben and Emma. These children are all grown up now and we pride ourselves in the close relationship we still have with them and their families. Ben’s younger brother Daniel is graduating Cedar Montessori in June 2020 and his little sister Charlotte starts in September 2021. A lovely, long and rewarding relationship with his family.

We originally began as a Montessori and whilst we still embrace the core Montessori principles we have also come to recognise the benefits of play for young children. We now enthusiastically weave Montessori and Play Based learning into our curricula. We believe that Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them. Our school offers a home-from-home experience for all our children with activities that include, baking, gardening, PE and music.
